Tour Itinerary & Highlights:

 

  • Morning 8:15 - 8:30am, April to mid-October

  • Morning 9:45 - 10am, mid-October to March 

  • Pickup from your hotel/apartment in Melbourne City

  • Head towards North East direction to the Dandenong Ranges National Park.

  • Walk within the Sherbrooke Forest area to discover some of the interesting native plants and animals.

  • Parrots spotting on Mt Dandenong.

  • Take a ride on Australia’s Premiere Preserved Steam Railway.

  • Shop around the town (Olinda/Sassafras) on Mt Dandenong.

  • Try out the award-winning pies at the 'Pie-In-The-Sky' in Olinda.

  • Visit one of the best koalas and Animal parks in the region.

  • Eat and shop along the main street, Thompson Avenue in Cowes.

  • Walk on the fine sandy beach and photo shots of the Mussel Rocks and Jetty at Cowes beach.

  • Take a leisure walk and some beautiful pictures at the cliff boardwalks, Nobbies Centre, and Summerland.

  • Finally, we can see the 'Penguin Parade', the cute little penguins march home during sunset.

  • Return to Melbourne City: around 10pm (Apr to mid-Oct) or

  • around 12am mid-night (mid-Oct to Mar)

1893年開始造鎮，1900年時有雜貨店，小學和郵局。您可以在 Sherbrooke 森林中散步，欣賞林中的澳洲本土植物和動物。

 

這裡四季分明，每個時節造訪都有不同美景。

Located about 35 Km from the Melbourne City and has a population of about 1,300.

 

The town of Mt Dandenong was settled in 1893. By around 1900, the town had its own general store, primary school and post office.

 

You can walk within the Sherbrooke Forest area to discover some of the interesting native plants and animals.

Parrots Spotting 山上賞鹦鹉

Sherbrooke 森林在丹德農山上、海拔約220 -500 公尺。在這裡您可以盡情的享受森林芬多精和悦耳的蟲鳴鳥叫。

 

還有一個特别區域可以尋找一些白色和五顏六色的野生鸚鵡。這些野生鸚鵡一聽見老鷹的叫聲或看到老鷹在天空徘徊時就會立刻飛走。

Sherbrooke Forest lies at an attitude of 220 to 500 metres within the Dandenong Ranges.

 

Relax and listen to the soothing delightful birdsong in the forest. This is a unique area where you can see many native parrots such Cockatoo, Australian King Parrot, Galah, Crimson Rosella, etc. They are about 56 species in Australia.

 

They will disburse and fly away all of a sudden, if an eagle is spotted spiralling in the area.

Puffing Billy 蒸汽火車

The main township on Phillip island and had a population of about 10 thousands. A distinctive feature of the road is the 1 kilometres lining of Golden Cypress trees that can live up to a thousand year.

 

Take a look at this little town and commercial hub with beautiful beaches. You can spend a lazy afternoon at the beaches, seaside eateries or do a little bit of shopping for souvenirs.

Previously, known as Seal Rocks Sea Life Centre. It is now known as Nobbies, a destination located at the western tip of Phillip island. About half a million of people visit this place every year.

 

A network of boardwalks outside the centre allow you to view the seal colony, The Nobbies and The Blowhole.

Leaving Nobbies along the way towardes the Penguin Parade Centre, we will drive very slowing to see if any hidden wallabies and rabbits.

 

Sometimes, you will see wild geese roam around the Summerlands field and crossing the road dangerously.

See those cute little penguins marching homes to their nests during sunset. They will cross the beach wobbly in group and walk to their nests.

 

After watching those cute little penguins, you will understand why people fly from all over the world just to see them.
